Following the division of the former University of Jammu and Kashmir, the University of Jammu, certified as a "A+" Grade University by the National Assessment & Accreditation Council of India, was established in 1969 under the Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969. The University offers education in the academic fields that it sees suitable, and it also provides for research, the expansion of knowledge, and its transmission. With the sacred peaks of the Trikuta Hills as its background, the University symbolises the spiritual and material aspects of life, the yearning for knowledge, and morality.

Admission Process for the JAMMU UNIVERSITY:
The qualifying requirements for admission to JAMMUUNIVERSITY are as follows:

• On the official Jammu University website, the student may submit an online application.
• The university offers the UG application form in April and the PG application form in May.

• There is a wifi-enabled computer lab at Central University of Jammu. Any course-related information is always available to students.

• The auditorium may be air-conditioned for students. There is also enough for 165 people to sit. It may serve a variety of functions as an auditorium as well. Numerous occasions, including conferences and meetings, are held in the auditorium.
• The Central University of Jammu has separate dorms for boys and ladies. Hostels provide reasonable rates for students to stay there. They are air-conditioned and nicely equipped. They are also disorganised. Students are comfortable. The hostel also makes the students feel at home.
