Overview and About the Course:

A Ph.D. in psychology requires three years of full-time study. Aspirants learn a total of 9 courses in this three-year curriculum, three in each year. The course explores various psychological therapies and methodologies with a primary emphasis on the clinical psychology portion.

The candidates must successfully complete their postgraduate psychology degree with a minimum grade of 55% or an equivalent grade from an accredited university. Admission to the programme is based on a merit list or admission exam. The RAT (Research Aptitude Test) and JRF are two of these tests that are administered across the nation (Junior Research Fellowship).

Students must finish their undergraduate and graduate degrees in psychology in order to pursue a PhD programme in that field. Popular bachelor's degree options include B.Com, BA, B.Sc., and BBA; for master's degrees, M.Com, MBA, and further courses of a similar nature are available.
