The King George's Medical University Lucknow, also known as Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj Medical University (CSM) Lucknow, was founded in 1911.  In 1968, the C.S.J.M. University in Kanpur's Central Library underwent installation. At first, it was relocated to a room in the university administrative building.
