About BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY:

Bharathidasan University was founded in February 1982 and was given its name in honour of the legendary revolutionary Tamil poet (1891-1964).

The primary campus of the university was once situated at Palkalaiperur, a vast region encompassing more than 1000 acres. However, as time went on, Palkalaiperur's South Campus and its facilities were donated to the newly established Anna University of Technology. Recently, the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Tiruchirappalli, received a new land allocation. The University also maintains a campus in the city's central district, Khajamalai, which once served as the Autonomous Post-Graduate Centre of the University of Madras in Tiruchirappalli. The majority of the academic departments and research facilities are situated on the main Palkalaiperur Campus, which also houses the administrative complex, which houses the Vice-Secretariat, Chancellor's Registrar's Office, Finance, and Examination offices.

There are 16 Schools, 4 Faculties, 37 Departments, and 29 Specialized Research Centers in total at the university. 2564 students and scholars are served by 263 faculty members at the university. There are 151 programmes available via the university's departments and schools, including 40 PG M.A., M.Sc., and M.Tech. programmes. The aforementioned programs—31 M.Phil., 33 Ph.D., 19 P.G. Diploma, 11 Diploma, and 10 Certificates—are offered under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) in semesters.

Admission Process for the BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY:

BHARATHIDASAN UNIVERSITY FACULTY:
The dormitory rooms come with fans, decent lighting, enough water, a recreation center, a playground, and magazines and newspapers. There is a television and cable connectivity in every hostel. Similar to this, all of the dorms have Wi-Fi, allowing the students to use their laptops to access the internet from their individual rooms. A decent, sanitary kitchen and large dining areas are available at the hostels. For women's hostels, there is a ward and 24 hour watch. The restrooms in each hostel are equipped with hot water. The hostels hold monthly meetings for its purchase and grievance committees. The hostels include a telephone capability to take calls from the outside world.
