ABOUT BHARATH INSTITUTE OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH:
Dr. S. Jagathrakshakan founded the Bharath Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) in 1984 with the Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Foundation as Tamil Nadu's first self-supporting engineering college. The Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital was subsequently founded by the trust in 1989. According to section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956, Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital was initially acknowledged by MHRD as a Deemed to be University in July 2002. It was then placed under the control of the new trust of the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER). The Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research was thereafter expanded to include the Bharath Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) and additional institutions (below) (BIHER).

As a result, the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER) offers close to 10000 international students a multi-stream, multi-cultural, and high-quality education. With 1.3 crore square feet of structures spread across 6 campuses in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry, it operates on a vast 603 acres of land. It also has state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities. There are members of the teaching faculty who are well equipped to lead and instruct various UG and PG programmes.

Dr. S. Jagathrakshakan founded the Bharath Institute of Science and Technology (BIST) in 1984 with the Sri Lakshmi Ammal Educational Trust as Tamil Nadu's first independently funded engineering college. In 1989, the Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital was established thanks to the fund. In accordance with section 3 of the UGC Act of 1956, the MHRD initially recognised Sree Balaji Dental College and Hospital as a university in July 2002. The institution was then placed under the control of the new trust of the Bharath Institute of Higher Education and Research (BIHER).

BHARATH INSTITUTE OF HIGHER EDUCATION AND RESEARCH FACILITIES:
The BIHER places a high priority on the welfare of its students. Boys' and girls' facilities are completely separate and equipped. There are 6 hostel buildings there, all of which have walled-in grounds. Roads connect each hostel block to the others with ease. The hostel's water needs are satisfied by the RO water system's treatment. The sewage system is working properly.

There are 5 hostels on the BIHER campus. 1470 students can stay in single, double, and triple rooms in the 4 boys' hostels and 1 ladies' hostel, which both have and don't have air conditioning. The boys' hostel has 12 air-conditioned rooms, while the ladies' hostel has 10 air-conditioned rooms. For individuals who require air conditioning systems, individual metering services are also available.
