ABOUT ASSAM WOMEN’S UNIVERSITY:

In Jorhat, Assam, India, there is a public university called Assam Women's University. The Assam Government passed the Assam Women's University Act, 2013, establishing it. It is Assam's first females' college. To provide centers and opportunities for post-graduate study in applied science, the arts, technology, business, management, and social science to women via instruction, training, research, improvement, and extension, as well as by other ways that the university may judge appropriate.

To provide resources and opportunities for women to pursue post-graduate degrees in applied science, the arts, technology, business, management, and other fields through instruction, training, research, development, and extension, as well as through other channels the university may deem appropriate.

To encourage research in applied science, the arts, technology, business, management, and the social sciences, particularly with an emphasis on the viewpoint of women, in order to develop knowledge and improve society.

To develop and put into action programmes of instruction for women in the applied sciences, the arts, technology, business, management, and industry that are pertinent to the shifting socio-economic requirements of society in terms of variety and depth of specialty.

The university's ultimate objective is to produce 21st-century women who possess the knowledge and think tanks necessary to effectively advance opportunities for women in the state of Assam and to become a complementary partner in the national and international development of women-centric activities.
